Women are among the active and essential members of society; therefore, emphasizing their right to employment and economic independence can contribute to the development and economic progress of society. Given the importance of this issue, legal systems and cultural influencers should focus on their perspectives towards promoting justice and economic development in society. Efforts should be made towards understanding and resolving obstacles that hinder the full realization of this goal. In order to achieve this, examining the position of financial and economic independence of women in the Islamic legislative system is a fundamental topic in the discussion of women's rights and status in Islam. This research aims to elucidate the Islamic perspective on this matter by examining examples and foundations in Islamic texts.The findings indicate that Islam not only does not oppose women's financial and economic independence but strongly emphasizes it and defends women's economic rights. Quranic verses such as those regarding inheritance and dowry affirm women's right to independent ownership and recognize their right to earn a living and engage in employment. Islamic jurisprudence, based on human dignity, justice, and individual freedom, emphasizes women's financial autonomy and their exemption from family expenses.The realization of women's economic independence in Islam, in addition to valuable individual effects, will also have positive social effects such as economic growth, improved productivity, and reduced harm.
